I have used several including paypal,
PayFlow Pro (part of paypal, but an actual integrated service)
Authorize.net (good tools, horrible customer service and a little pricey)
Most Banks have them as well (wellsfargo, etc)
echo-inc.com (fairly priced, easy to access, )
If the client requires that the checkout use their skin, paypal is out
unless they purchase the premium solution (which I believe is payflow pro)
I'd agree with Wade, with Google Checkout's API (usually documented well)
and turn key solutions, this would be the best solution for them.
