[UPHPU] apache error log not rotating

I just discovered that my main error log for Apache is 600 MB. It is  
apparently not being automatically cleaned/rotated. How do I instruct  
my system (FC3) to automatically clean the log? It is custom build of  
Apache, located at:

/usr/local/apache/logs/error_log
