Honestly, I'd just go with a third party video hosting solution, at
least at first.  They have the benefit of economies of scale, and you
don't have to worry about your host calling you up in the middle of
the night and surprising you with a sub-clause of your agreement that
states that if you do exactly what you're doing, they can shut you
down.

I haven't looked into this too much, but it seems like video hosting
is a large-ish problem that's been solved, so why not use an existing
solution rather than trying to solve it on your own?  Maybe it's not
as hard as I'm thinking it is, I dunno.
