Also, something I've built in Python that can't be built in PHP?  How about
a wxPython log parsing application?

Oh, wait, PHP is for web applications.  Which was the whole point, wasn't
it?  That PHP can't be compared to Python.  Or Ruby.  It's much easier (and
fairer) to compare it to a FRAMEWORK of said language.  This isn't rocket
science here.
