Oy. And to think last year I spent two whole evenings trying to get
this effect on buttons and scroll bars. Granted, that was for a XUL
based interface, so I wasn't making individual images for everything.
I actually think that alot of the Web 2.0 style -- or at least the way
alot of people are going about implementing it (ie, whatever happened to
using a styled submit button as a submit button?) -- is a bit of a
setback.
But nothing says style like mass production, eh? And I'm tired of trying
to convince clients out of it. I'll be adding it as a service to my
site this weekend (indeed I'll be doing a collection of such services.)
Hey, and to bring it back on topic: I'll even see if I can do it with
php! :-D
