Happy GNU Year! :) I hope everyone had a good 2006 Holiday Season.
, because we're going to have a rockin' 2007 with the group.
To start off, here is the meeting schedule for the month of January:

Jan 6 @ 10:00am: IRC Planning meeting in #oalug on Freenode.
Jan 11 @ 7:30pm: LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP) install
presentation given by Kevin Carter. Location, date and time
VERY tentative. Watch the mailing list for info.
Jan 20 @ 10:00am: IRC Planning meeting in #oalug on Freenode.
Jan 27 @ 10:00am: PHP Workshop provided by the UPHPU group.

For the LAMP presentation by Kevin, I still need to get in
contact with the WSU Davis Campus scheduling office, and make
sure we can use the same room, day and time. Because we are
using that campus location, we have to work around the school
class schedule. So the day and time may change. I'll try to
keep it on the 2nd week of the month, preferably Thursday.

For the PHP workshop that we are holding with the UPHPU group, I
need a headcount of how many will be coming. You need to RSVP
if your are planning on attending. We will need to know the
amount of pizza and drinks to get, as well as make sure we have
a location pinned down to accommodate everyone. An email will
be sent out for the RSVP.

Also for the PHP workshop, we are looking for volunteers to
present. We are looking at keeping the meeting beginner to
intermediate and going over PHP syntax. Basic programming will
be assumed. We are looking at treating this presentation as a
college course: going over variables, arrays, loops,
conditionals, functions, etc. The presentation segment will be
2 hours, following which, there will a break, then 2 hours of
PHP hacking- eg: applying what we learned.

This month looks like it is PHP-themed, so for those interested
in PHP, or learning the language, this would be a good month to
attend meetings. :)

Thanks,
