Absolutely. PHP has probably the best built-in support for image
creation/manipulation of any scripting language I know of. Have a look on
www.php.net . Search the function gd_info in the top right box. The GD
library is very robust, and you should neet no other supplementals.

I'm working with a small project that needs to be able to re-sample images
uploaded by end-users.  The end-user will upload images they took with their
digital camera, and I need to re-sample the image down to a reasonable
web-viewable size/resolution (maybe around 500x400).  I'm curious if there
are any PHP libraries that will assist me in this task.
