I just signed on to the Web Directions

to be held in Vancouver this February 6 - 10, 2007. I thought
I'd mention it here as a superb resource. Several podcasts and
slideshows<http://www.webdirections.org/about-wd06/>[2] are available
from earlier events. Web Directions North is being
organized by Dave Shea (creator of
csszengarden.com<http://www.csszengarden.com/>[3] and co-author of The
Zen of CSS Design<http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0321303474/mezzoblue-20>[4])
and other web dev gurus. Accompanied by an amazing
lineup of talent <http://north.webdirections.org/detail/speakers/> [5],
workshops will cover Ajax, CSS, Microformats, mashups, design and
development, accessibility, web app dev, etc. The event will be rounded out
with two optional days of skiing and
boarding<http://north.webdirections.org/schedule/friday-saturday/>[6]
at
Whistler. Very cool. Web Directions North is 2007's web design and
development event not to be missed!!
