Boy, has this thread been fun to read. I don't think anyone is saying
anything personal, but making a point about excellence.

CSS rendering issues, huh? I'm betting layout issues. Try this: do it
differently. Often I've read about this hack or that hack to get past
an issue. That's the perfect time to rethink what I'm doing, try
another approach. Layouts require an understanding of positioning,
floats, and the box model. I'm so over the edge, it's not even enough
for me to be cross-browser anymore. I also insist on hack-free. Why?

It's about striving for excellence. That's the precise reason why I'm
in this group. I always want to get better, and learn from others. Not
just new skills, but also looking for the better mousetrap.

So, let me rephrase it a bit. "Wouldn't it be really cool if it worked
in all browsers?" Let the group have a shot at helping.
