[UPHPU] DB schema feedback/comments request

Hello everyone,
I am pretty much a self taught kind of guy (i.e. I lack a formal
education) as such I missed out on a lot of things. One of my weakest
areas is database design. Is there a good resource on schema design? I
particular what 3rd normal form is? I have heard the term before but
have not had a chance until now to do further research. Thanks.

I'm a big fan of normalization and 3rd normal form. I, personally, would
design
the tables to at least 3rd normal form.
