[UPHPU] php on Mac

When I first started doing Web development back in 1995 (think Netscape 0.9), I regarded Mac users as dorky designer types who couldn't handle a real computer.
Then in 2004, a colleague went to a national MySQL conference. He said Mac Power Books with OS X was the platform of choice for most web programmers. The price still inhibits me, however.

Thanks everyone for comments (I'm able to respond - by tilting my Dell
in a certain way, the hard disk runs and at 04:00 it hasn't overheated
yet). Thks for heads up on new little macbooks - when I get chance to
visit apple store I'll be sure to ask about it. I know Mac is BSD
based, reason I consider it okay, but after using Linux for 5 yrs, any
slight change is painful.
Interesting though unscientific observation: over the last few months,
I've notice that about 90% of developers I've met are running Macs.
