It depends on what you're going to do. If you are simply going to  
write code, then an iBook would be sufficient. Personally, I wouldn't  
purchase a laptop with a screen smaller than fifteen inches though,  
so that's why I purchased a Powerbook. If you do want an iBook, be  
aware that the line is about to be retired (rumors are that it will  
happen in two days) and replaced with an intel version called  
MacBook. Waiting a week to purchase will allow you to get the new  
model or an iBook for less money.

Of course. Mac OS is BSD (Unix). The come with Apache and PHP  
installed and ready to go out of the box. Apache simply needs to be  
started and PHP simply needs to be uncommented (two lines) in the  
conf file.
