[UPHPU] MySQL Limits

Does anyone know the limits of MySQL? I'm curious to find out:
How many tables can a database hold?
How many records can a table hold? (I'm mostly using int, date, 
datetime, and text formats.)
Is it better to have 1000 tables with 1000 records each? or one table 
with 1,000,000 records? how about when it gets to 1,000,000,000 records?
