Great! A volunteer! :) I think we'd all be happy if you presented too.

For what it's worth, one thing I would like to see is how to take the kind
of layout that I usually end up getting asked to build (what I called
"fluid tabular layouts") and make something that is substantially similar
without what you would say are unnecessary or inappropriate tables. Other
goals, besides using tables "correctly" would be to appropriately reduce
your markup without bloating the CSS (as Jon Jensen pointed out so well
with his example) and have it still work nicely cross browser, without
hacks, and while maintaining reasonably good behavior as you change the
window size, and without unnecessarily placing static widths on things.
Especially when they may have dynamic content in them that may need a
different width to look decent, static widths can be harmful. (If it would
be helpful, I could supply a few such designs that you could use as case
studies.)

If I can find a better way to do what I do, and a way to learn from a CSS
Master like Wade, some tools that will help me work faster or better in
any way, I'm all ears. [I may seem stubborn, but really I'm just hard to
convince, I think. I consider my self rational and logical, almost to a
fault, though some would argue the almost, and they may be right, so I try
to keep it under control.]

If I remember right, John Taber is already scheduled for this month on the
15th, but maybe this would be for the July 20th meeting?

Thanks,
Mac
