I don't know how many of you have seen these before. A guy in Maine puts
them together, and sells them under a company named VisiBone.

One of the guys in our office has the Browser Book, and I can highly
recommend it. (His is the laminated version, and I'd probably get that one
if it were me, since it is more durable and will be used frequently.) The
Card Collection is the one I'd probably get if I were buying one, since it
has all the same stuff but a little denser and less expensively. There's a
comparison of the two here:

If you want to see what they cover, that link has links to full-size JPG
photos of the pages, close enough to be readable, so you can see what they
say. In a nutshell, it is a reference for colors, fonts, special
characters, XHTML, CSS, SSI, URLs, XML w/XHTML, JavaScript, DOM, and JS
Regular Expressions. It has color coding that indicates what browsers
support each item, and notes that point out gotchas, etc. to watch for. I
don't recall ever finding a mistake in it, either.
Last time I mentioned these, there was some interest in doing a group
purchase and seeing if we can get a user group discount. I have sent him a
message to ask about the possibility of a discount above those he already
offers, found here:
http://www.visibone.com/catalog/discounts.php
Even with just those, if we ordered about 10 items together, we'd probably
qualify for the 30% off discount, which would knock $6-16 off the price of
each product, depending which one you bought. If we had 15-20 items
between us, we'd probably get 35-40% off. If he replies and says he can
get us a better discount as a group, I'll let everyone know.
I'd be willing to make the purchase and arrange for distribution if there
are enough people interested. Please pass this along to anyone else
locally who might be interested in our group purchase - the discounts are
based on dollar volume, not on particular items or quantites, so anything
he sells would be fair game.
Thanks,
Mac
