Yes, Netscape even won in court against MS on this one.  In early 1998,
most web pages were written for Netscape.  Some even required Netscape. 
By mid 1999, most were written for IE, and some even required IE.  It
took another couple of years before a big cross-browser-friendly code
emphasis came about.MS killed the #1 browser in less than a year - the
facts are overwhelmingly obvious.

BTW, what's DIY and NIH?
