I think the first one is now the official one, as it has been made
into a PDF book on sale at O'Reilly.
I also recently downloaded the code and got the 1.5rc2 instead of the
v 1.4 There are a lot of bug fixes and it seems to go smoother
(especially in IE). There are a lot of nice new features that isn't
in the above documentation, but which you could figure out form
reading the CHANGELOG [1] in the svn repository. Mostly it is helpful
stuff to improve chaining support and the like.
