Brandon,
It can be done. There are lots of PHP galleries out there, especially
on sourceforge. With the source, you can figure out how to do it. You
probably need to decide if you want it to require a database or not.
That's a big development fork in the road. You can even choose not to
use PHP, and have a ton of gallery development options. But I would
recommend that if you're going to sell it, make it completely your
own. Adding on to someone else just creates complications and
potential litigation. Just my opinion.
