I apologize if I'm posting a link to something that's already been covered,
but a co-worker just sent me this link that gives an overview of how
compliant IE (even 7) is compared to other browsers:

The salient part (total score) IE6 got 73% of the html/xhtml standard
implimented; IE7 only 74% while FF 1.5 had 91%. The score for CSS is equally
telling: IE6: 51%, IE7:55%; FF: 93%.
Clearly these are scores one can be proud of only if you own the market.
