You know, I've heard that from other people. Not many, but a few. I'll
have to take their word for it, since I don't have Windows or IE of any
version.
Here is the deal...
When you pull feeds from so many different sites, you loose control over
what kind of html you are going to be serving up. One could scrub the
feeds, but that's a lot of work. Some days it's really ugly; Some days
it's not so bad.
FYI - Sample breakdown on browsers:
Browsers Visits
########################
Firefox 4736
Mozilla 1049
Safari 591
Internet Explorer 494
Konqueror 372
Opera 116
Camino 18
Galeon 5
Netscape 3
Internet Explorer Visits
########################
IE 6.0 465
IE 7.0 24
IE 5.01 3
IE 4.01 1
IE 5.0 1
Most of the IE visits are organic and very few of them are looking for
things that they will find on OpenClue anyway.
Would I fix it *if* I could *and* it didn't cost me 10 hours of work?
Yeah. Do I loose sleep over it? No :) Should I detect the IE visitors
and recommend Firefox to them? That sounds good to me!
