So how much do you think a default install on an average system can
handle? Let's say you had a site that displayed library books and you
could cycle through the library, viewing one book's details (title,
author, status, genre) per page.
If I only have ten books in my library, then I could see it as being
advantageous to load the entire library into the user's session when he
first hits the site and then just use that data as he browses, instead
of hitting the database with each page load. If there are a million
books however, it wouldn't be. I was simply trying to get an idea of
what the breaking point would be.
