Well, windows 2000, 2003, XP have it all built in to handle simple
SMTP things like email from PHP. Often it is not installed and you
have to manually install it from the Add Windows Component in the
Add/Remove Programs. Once that has been added you should be able to
send email just fine. If you are only going to testing (depending on
your test time) there is a product that is called Merak Mail which is
VERY cheap IMO for an email server. They can be found at
http://www.icewarp.com/index.html They have a 30 day demo you can try
if you would like.
Also, have you tried Source Forge yet? You can typically find
anything you need there. Perhaps try "email server for windows" or
something to that affect on your search.
