[UPHPU] Apache/BSD 101 (easy stuff for most of you)

I'll be glad to read documentation but I'm not sure what keywords to use to
lookup the answer to my question...
(Before I go any further, I'm sorry it's off topic of PHP but this is an
effort to get a BSD box setup so I can use PHP)
When I open a brower to http://[my internal ip]/~[username] I get a 404.
How do I set this up? or rather what doc page should I read to get this
going?
Last question, I added apache_enable="YES" in the rc.conf (obtained this
info from the freebsd site in the apache documentation section) and apache
is not starting up after a reboot. What else do I have to do to make apache
autostart anytime I want to reboot the system?
