[UPHPU] PHP Binary

I have been favoring WAMP and LAMPP lately.  They both come with PHP
binaries and have really easy installs...

Dumb question.  Is it possible to just download a standard PHP binary 
somewhere that I could stick in a /home directory and feed PHP scripts 
in to manually?  If it is possible, I'm failing to find one.
