[UPHPU] wild card /etc/hosts entries

Is it possible to do wild card entries in /etc/hosts? So that you  
could do something like this…


192.168.1.100    *string*.com


…for example (tried the above literally and it didn't)? Allowing you  
to redirect all possible pre and post fix combinations of domain  
names containing a string to specific server?
