Nothing against you Mac, but I'm going to counter-argue your claims:

What kind of twit-moron sets their own Reply-to in the first place?  And 
how often does that happen on a mailing list?

Mailman makes it pretty simple to delete posts.  Sure, everyone gets a 
copy but at least its not archived publically.

And anybody who replies to a mailing list with sensitive information and 
DOES NOT MAKE SURE they are not replying to the entire list is pretty dumb.

My argument is this -- most of the time people want to reply TO the 
list.  So have the default be that way.  Just cuz the author of the 
article a) uses a cool mailer that no ones heard of before that lets you 
reply to "group emails" with a hotkey, and b) he probably screwed up and 
  sent private information to some list doesn't mean we should suffer 
too. :)
