Dave, thanks for the offer. This guy runs an IT company in SoCal that 
only supports windows. I think I could convince him, but then I would 
feel responsible if he has a bad experience. Also, besides I'm not the 
greatest Linux admin, the irony of supporting a Linux box for an IT 
support company would be too much for me.

I'm interested in your advice for future clients, but for this guy I'm 
gonna try to stick to wearing the web developer hat only. I convinced 
him to use PHP/MySQL over ASP/MS SQL by telling him that I could do it 
for at least 20% cheaper.
