DDM is currently seeking a mid to senior level Software Engineer to work on the KSL Classified team. The developer will be responsible for design, development, and maintenance of technology for the KSL Classifieds on-line product.
This position will report to the Director of Development of the KSL Classified team. The ideal candidate needs to have experience with high traffic web sites, excellent communication skills, and be willing and excited to learn new skills and technologies.
3 or more years of current experience with web software development
Strong experience working with front end technologies: HTML, CSS, React.js and Ember.js
Strong experience working with back end technologies: Linux, Apache, PHP and Vagrant
Strong experience working with database technologies: MongoDB, Solr and MySQL
Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology and use of issue tracking (Pivotal Tracker or similar) and source repository (git or similar) technologies
Experience with Test Drive Development (TDD) and writing unit tests using phpUnit
Experience optimizing and working with high traffic web sites using caching and scalability technologies
Maintenance of existing enterprise web applications
Ability to work independently in addition to collaborative work on large projects with team members, including stakeholders, product owners, designers, and other developers
Excellent written and verbal communication
Must be performance driven, detail and results oriented
Willingness to learn new and emerging technologies
Must be a strong team and individual motivator with a positive attitude who enjoys working with others
Goal-oriented person with high personal drive, integrity, and energy
Bachelors Degree with IT or CS related emphasis
