Lead Developer
$80,000 - $100,000

Healthfundr is building a marketplace for funding health startups. We're a growing startup that is making a major change in our model. We've enjoyed great national press and are considered a forerunner in our space. We want to make funding and supporting health startups more efficient and transparent, while enabling more people to intelligently invest at low investment minimums alongside expert lead investors. Think AngelList for health, but with some relatively significant changes to better serve health startups.

We're looking for a lead developer who's excited by what we're doing. While our founders aren't coders, we do have a great love for those who write great code. We'll support you on the design, UX, and product management front, plus we'll spend a whole lot of time selling. You'll be the primary developer in the early days and will have direct and enormous influence over the direction of the product. We've built and launched the first iteration of the product and you'll be completely in charge of expanding what we're doing.

Above all, we want someone that believes we can bring greater efficiency, transparency, and participation to funding health innovation. Plus, since we're a startup, we'll be making lots of changes and refinements along the way, so we want someone who embraces constant change.

Required skills:
Extensive experience with LAMP stack - PHP, CakePHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and MySQL.
APIs (providing and consuming) and OAuth (providing and consuming).
Linux, AWS, Memcached, Git, etc...
testing using tools like PHPUnit, Selenium, and BlazeMeter.
modern front-end components such as Bootstrap, jQuery, Backbone, Grunt, and Socket.io.

Required experience:
Ideally, you'll be a full stack web developer with LAMP mastery and we'd love it if you have CakePHP and Twitter Bootstrap experience.

We really want someone with an eye towards UX and marketing as well. Most of what we'll be doing in the next year is building the core experience for users on the marketplace.

You'll manage the complete product development cycle, from design through product release, and be able to manage, motivate and work well with contract developers when needed. As we grow, you'll build out the engineering team and make Healthfundr a great place for them.

Health, dental, equity, remote working, whatever development tools you need.

The chance to see health innovation at its earliest stages, work in a brand new industry, and improve the likelihood that great health innovations get to market.
