Job Summary:

The Dropship.com Action Team is looking for an exceptional Senior Java Developer to help us build the next generation e-commerce integration platform. You will join a cross-functional team of talented technologists who share a passion for crushing buggy code, solving challenging computations and scalability problems in limited time with only a grenade and a parachute; designing usable and fast user interfaces while running from sasquatches; and writing quality software that will be exercised around the clock by hundreds of thousands of users. 

A successful Java Developer at DropShip.com will relish daily challenges, enjoy driving projects to success in relatively short time frames, and have no hesitation to pull levers in insect-filled crevices if it’s required to save the life of a fellow Action Team member.  There are many projects with different focuses and requirements and a successful candidate must be willing and able to move from one project to the next with minimal reservation.  A successful candidate must have strong team skills and be willing to work in small project teams to accomplish assignments.  

Key Responsibilities:
•	Contribute to the analysis of functional requirements
•	Architect, design, implement and tune robust features that perform and scale in a multi-tenant environment
•	Resolve technical issues in existing applications
•	Analyze, design and develop test cases and implement automated test suites.
•	Work with a self-organizing team of software professionals who value quality and bringing value to our customers
•	Have an agile, iterative approach to software development, rapidly showing progress and being able to adapt to continual feedback and refinement of requirements
•	Develop tools, frameworks, and management platforms that will support the business process management and data translation functions
•	Work closely with management, product owners, and other developers to understand product requirements and design appropriate test plans to verify features and functional specifications
•	Be fanatical about testing across the entire spectrum: unit, integration, functional, and performance.  Live for automation of these type test harnesses and a huge plus if been a successful player in an agile environment
•	Lead a team of software developers, and mentor the other members of the team

Required skills:
The Most Important Criteria for joining our team are:

Required Skills:

•	Strong object-oriented programming experience and expertise with modular designs
•	Web development skills 
•	Possess a testing mentality and realize that it is a critical step in developing high-quality code
•	Ability to lead a project’s technical architecture, design, and implementation
•	Ability to work in a fast paced environment with continually changing priorities
•	Experience building multi-tier scalable applications
•	Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
•	BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
•	Must be able to rescue droids from large armies of Jawa’s only using Java

Other Desired Skills:

•	Familiar with Open Source technologies at various levels of the software development and automation stack
•	Familiar with CloverETL and Business Process Management tools
•	Familiar with designing and managing SaaS based multi-tenant systems
•	Experience in surviving a Zombie Apocalypse 

Required experience:

•	5+ years of continuous software development with a distinguished track record on technically demanding projects
•	3+ years of continuous software development in advanced Java and experience with agile development methodologies
