Position:
PHP Developer
$60,000 - $80,000

Description:
Responsibilities include:
- Coding, testing and de-bugging test websites and web-based applications 
- Developing, enhancing and maintaining existing Galileo web applications 
- Web applications include customer service tools, cardholder sites, enrollment sites, reporting tools and web services 
- Other duties as assigned



Required skills:
PHP, SQL, Linux  / Unix 

Required experience:
- Programming experience to code and unit test Object Oriented PHP
- Strong SQL skills 
- Extensive experience with one or more of the major database platforms 
- Experience in consuming and programming web services 
- Excellent analytical, technical aptitude and proven ability to solve problems 
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization 
- A positive attitude and superior work ethic 
- Strong written and verbal communication skills / time management skills 
- Ability to work in a quick paced, evolving environment 
- Ability to collaborate with others within the Galileo organization 

A distinct advantage for this position would be:
- Understanding of relational databases
- Experience working on Linux/Unix based machines 
- Experience administrating and configuring the Apache web server 
- Ability to keep abreast of the latest in Internet technology and use that ability to solve development issues 
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experience 
- Commercial Web Development experience
