Camp Chef is currently reviewing applications for the position of Web Developer and is looking for a qualified individual who is a self-motivated professional with excellent programming and database experience to become a contributing member of our growing ecommerce team. Primary job responsibility will be to provide PHP programming and functionality for several ecommerce websites, in addition to other web-based applications. Successful candidates will have demonstrable experience building online applications in a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL & PHP) environment and will be able to make a meaningful contribution from day one.  The web developer will work as part of a team and will interact with various departments along with company management to develop effective technical solutions to meet our growing business needs. This is the perfect opportunity for Web Developer looking to play a key role in creating enabling technology for a growing company.

Required skills:
-  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or commensurate work experience
-  2 years minimum experience developing PHP & MySQL applications
-  Advanced knowledge of (X)HTML/CSS, JavaScript and XML
-  Familiar with object oriented programming methodologies and relational databases design
-  Knowledge of Linux/Apache hosting environments
-  Utilize relevant W3C coding standards and best practices
-  Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
-  Excellent debugging skills and the ability to modify existing code for improved performance
- Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team

Required experience:
-  Design, develop and maintenance of company branded and retail websites 
-  Responsible for shopping cart infrastructure and backend order fulfillment system integration
-  Maintain company intranet and dealer support websites
-  Maintain online product and customer database
-  Maintain a master calendar for web based projects and implementations
-  Resolving any server/technical issues as they relate ecommerce sites or web security
-  Keep current with emerging web technologies through relevant blogs, community forums, and industry events 
-  Responsible for development, implementation of shopping comparison tools, shopping feeds and customer online surveys
-  Work cooperatively with key team members to implement online solutions to improve overall website performance and rankings

This is a full-time (Salary DOE) position with health insurance and 401k benefits.
