Good morning!

My name is Laura Brist and I just recently came across your group on-line.
I am actually out on the East coast and am hoping to be able to network with
your group.  I'm a staffing partner with Unisys and they are currently
filling approximately 100 positions in the Salt Lake City area for the
position of Technical Support Representative.  Please read on for a detailed
description of the position:


Technical Support

Representatives

Unisys Technical Support has openings for Technical Support Representatives
in our Managed Service Center in Salt Lake City; UT. Our facilities are
state-of-the-art, ISO-certified that deliver infrastructure management
services to hundreds of clients worldwide. These services include remote
network management, systems management, service desk, and managed security.

We are hiring entry level and experienced Technical Support Representatives
(Help Desk Agents) who are responsible for handling inbound calls from
external and internal customers seeking technical support. We support both
hardware and software products that vary from client to client. We fully
train all of our employees to handle each type of call. Staff members use
the latest technology in call center equipment, as well as have access to a
wide range of high tech tools, applications and computer based training
programs. We seek people who can dazzle our customers with keen technical
trouble-shooting ability, top-shelf problem solving skills, and superior
customer-service attitude.

 

Key Responsibilities:

. Provide the first-line of post-sales telephone technical support for
customers and/or Unisys employees.

. Answer basic questions about installation, operation, configuration,
customization, and usage of assigned products. Apply basic diagnostic
techniques to identify problems.

. Investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures

. Escalate complex problems to the Remote Support Engineering staff or Field
Engineering.

 

Desired Technical &

Behavioral Skills:

. Basic technical skills in the following areas: PC laptop and workstations,
Network troubleshooting, Windows operating systems, and applications such as
Microsoft Office/Outlook products and Lotus Notes/ Smart Suite. MAC HW/SW
skills also a plus.

. Effective written and oral communications, as well as efficient and
accurate typing skills.

. Education: Prefer college degree and/or completed Technical Certifications
such as A+, MCP, MCSE.

. Extensive background check required

 

This position is currently at $13/hr with benefits for full time employees.
