Description:

Designs, develops, and implements software packages for web sites.
Trouble-shoots, debugs and implements software code. Has knowledge of
standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
(i.e., SQL, PHP, HTML, CGI and JavaScript). Relies on limited experience and
judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Will performs a variety of tasks.
Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or
manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude required.

 

Responsibilities:

*        Maintain current student and marketing websites

*        Troubleshoot and fix bugs on current sites

*        Design and implement requested improvements and new features

*        Find ways to better streamline, integrate, and automate web related
processes

*        Work closely with marketing department and others for report
creation

*        Improve and update on-line and on-demand classes

 

Core Skills:

*        PHP

*        Database design and understanding (SQL)

*        Experience with a variety of web-sites and systems

*        JavaScript

 

Desired Skills:

*        Cold Fusion

*        Flash

*        Web Services

*        System administration

*        Photoshop or similar

*        LDAP

*        Ruby

*        Linux

*        Scalability & fail-over architecture

*        Graphic arts

 

Requirements:

*        Bachelors degree or 3 years experience in the field
