    PHP profiling

For our July meeting, Justin Carmony will be teaching us some of his tips, tricks, and techniques for doing performance profiling and optimization in PHP applications. Our meeting is at 7pm on Thursday, July 21, at Center7 Networks’ Bluffdale data center, and after the meeting everyone is welcome to join us at the Draper Applebees.

If you have something you’d be willing to present at a future meeting, please let me know and we’ll get you on the schedule.

We are looking at starting a Salt Lake Javascript Users group and thought the PHP community might be interested. We are thinking about meeting in the downtown area on the first Thursday of every month. Come let us know if you would be interested in joining us. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/ujsug

Is this different than the http://utahjs.com/ group then?

It will be a different chapter, but we will all be in the same group (if that makes sense). We will be on the same website. There seemed to be enough interest in having a meeting in salt lake. It looks like we will be moving to the second or 4th Thursday so as not to conflict with the Utah County meeting.

I’d be quite interested in attending a Salt Lake based group. As long at it’s Thursday after about 06:30 or so, the time sounds good as well.

Last October I had an opportunity to take my consulting company from just a small part time gig to a full time company. The downside is in doing this it moved me to North Carolina. So the reason for this post and how it pertains. I really enjoy being part of this group for the many years that I have been. However I am now attempting to locate groups like this in North Carolina. Anyone have any ideas of good places to look for groups like this in a new area, or even have suggestions on how I could start a similar group to this here in North Carolina?
